Comfortable in gray

As far as I can remember myself, gray has always been my favourite color. It’s neutral, easily combines with any other color and looks good on me. Doesn’t matter if I have a bad hair day, if I woke up with swolen eyes…  The right gray tone always makes me feel and look great.

So when I saw this editorial in Harper’s Bazaar with stunning Natasha Poly I immediately felt in love with every single photo and every single detail. Soft, warm and cozy sweaters, wool pants, comfortable coats – everything looked just perfect.

I couldn’t think of a better way to meet cold rainy days that are about to come…

Burberry Prorsum resort 2014

Absolutely in love with Burberry Prorsum Resort 2014 Collection. And it`s very hard for me to chose just one favorite look, in contrary to the most Resort Collections that I saw. I literally felt awkward after browsing my favorite designers collections and feeling like there was really nothing that could catch my eye.

Now as for the Burberry, I guess the reason that I liked the collection is in it`s simplicity. Soft colors, bold, clean lines, as always, perfect, but so perfect coats, cozy sweaters and sexy laces. And those silver sandals! Ahhh…

Perfection

image

I’ve been looking for a perfect mini shoulder bag for quite a long time. What I wanted was slik, sharp silhouette and a great quality leather. Sophie Hulmer’s Envelope mini textured-leather shoulder bag is all I could ask for. And I love the color. Would easily combine with any outfit, from relaxed casual to sophisticated or eclectic.

My favorite photos from Cannes Festival day 1. I am not going to write here about the best dressed or red carpet fiasco. This has been done by hundreds of bloggers already.

I just wanted to share a little bit of Festival atmosphere. I think it`s something magic.. Even with rain spoiling the red carpet moment.

Caviar? Anyone?

caviar-dark-beads-03-04-122-1024x682

I am Russian, so I love caviar! Please, don’t get me wrong but I am from a family of doctors and long time ago they were receiving quite a lot of caviar as a “thank you” gift from their patients. And it was not that expensive, actually. Yes, we had those golden times!

But the thing is I don’t know whether to like or don’t like this Ciate’s creativity. It’s definitely not my style but I have to admit it’s very creative and extravagant. Not sure if Ciate still have in stock this thing but they have plenty of other nail polishes in a case you decide to give your nails a little bit of extravaganza. I personally would opt for Petrossian caviar. You know what I mean.

A true masterpiece

Fornasetti for blog

I always say to my friends that when they don`t know what kind of present to give me, they should opt for a candle. Scented or not, candles warm my soul and give moments of peace and relaxation or can help to spread a little bit of romanticism and flirt in the air..

Wrapped in a beautiful box, filled with different aromas, candles can satisfy any, even the most refined taste. And these ones, made by incredibly talented Italian artist Piero Fornasetti, are a true masterpiece. I love how elegance, humor and surrealism meet together in his ceramic vessels, cups, plates and other objects of home decor. So the next time I need to choose something special as a present, I know where to find it!

It is getting cold here, in Sao Paulo. And this cold provokes me dreaming of warm sunny days somewhere in the south of France or Italy. And I just cant think of a better way to spend it elegantly and with style than the way Karl Lagerfeld showed in Singapore a couple of days ago.

Chanel Resort 2014 collection has it all – black and white stripes, airy chiffon blouses, wide-leg trousers and massive pearl necklaces. C`est magnifique!

Quinoa salad with anchovy

For post Mothers day-4For post mothers day-3For post Mothers day-6For post mothers day

There is nothing as easy as making a light and at the same time nutritious salad. My go-to recipe includes quinoa, anchovy and lettuce salad. Simply cook quinoa, add anchovy and lettuce (arugula), sprinkle with fresh lemon juice, spread a little bit of pepper if you want and finish with olive oil and salt. Pronto. Easy, fast yet incredibly delicious.

I ate my salad yesterday with fried mandioca (Brazilian vegetable, reminds sweet potato) and a glass of full-bodied red wine. Perfect for lazy sunny day!
